The Directors:

 

Greg Galvin - Director/ Certified Practising Accountant
B Bus, CPA, Registered Tax Agent, JP

Greg is a Certified Practising Accountant (CPA) and a director/principal of MGH Advisory in the Dubbo office. He has 30 years experience as an accountant in public practice.

Greg graduated from Charles Sturt University (Wagga Wagga campus) in 1990 with a Bachelor of Business (Accounting) degree and joined MGH Advisory in July 2003 as a principal. Greg was raised on a farming property 100 miles west of Dubbo near the small township of Tullamore. He continues to maintain and enjoy a close association with the rural sector.

Greg maintains a holistic approach in his provision of services to a wide range of small to medium size business clients in Dubbo and throughout the Central and western areas of NSW. He also services a number of clients along the NSW coast and Sydney metropolitan areas.

Greg works closely with clients in a number of industry and service areas, including the building and construction, retail, farming and grazing, medical and other professions. He has a keen interest in the provision of business management and advisory services, business structuring, business planning and development, financing, superannuation, Estate and Succession Planning. He gains particular satisfaction in seeing client's develop, grow and achieve their objectives as successful business owners, rewarding themselves with a tax effective retirement plan.

Away from work Greg enjoys Rugby, tennis, staying fit and keeping pace with a close family network.

 

 

Rosie Hicks - Director/ Chartered Accountant/ Financial Adviser

 Rosie has been in public practice for over 25 years and is a Director in both MGH Advisory and MGH Financial Planners.  She and her husband enjoy life on the land, so appreciate the blessings and tribulations this kind of life can offer.

As a Chartered Accountant and Financial Planner, Rosie is in a unique position to provide holistic service to clients, offering proactive and practical business and investment solutions.

Rosie has a particular interest in business structuring to protect client  assets within the law, including shareholder agreements, buy-sell option agreements, superannuation structures and insurance.  Complementing this is her keen interest in business planning and development, capital gains, financing and financial planning, estate and succession planning, and tax planning. Rosie gains quiet satisfaction in seeing clients achieve their objectives, and ultimately enjoy the rewards with a tax effective retirement strategy.  She is also adept in MYOB and can assist clients directly if required.

Rosie works closely with clients in the professional service and health sectors, building and allied construction industries, retail, hospitality and agricultural sectors.

At the end of the day Rosie unwinds on the farm and enjoys reading, walking, espresso coffee and gardening and when she can, skiing and kayaking.

 

Meet a few of our Support Staff...

 

Jacqui Coe – Senior Accountant/Software Support
B Bus (Acc)

Jacqui graduated from Charles Sturt University in 2011 with a Bachelor of Business (Major in Accounting) degree and is currently completing the CPA Program. Prior to that Jacqui had completed the Advanced Diploma in Accounting with TAFE NSW in 2006. She has 9 years accounting experience.

As a Senior Accountant, Jacqui provides support to the Directors of the firm and MGH Advisory clients with financial statement and taxation preparation for all entity types, including Self Managed Superannuation Funds, and assistance to clients with their software and bookkeeping requirements.

Jacqui joined MGH Advisory in 2007. Prior to this she worked parttime for Westpac and also ran a bookkeeping service for several businesses.

Away from work Jacqui plays squash and likes to run or get to the gym when she can.


Maureen Collyer – Senior Accountant/Software Support
Adv Dip Acc, NIA, JP

Maureen has 20 years accounting experience and commenced at MGH Advisory in July 2002.

Prior to joining MGH Advisory Maureen worked for the Westpac Bank for 17 years. She has completed her Advanced Diploma of Accounting in 2005 and was admitted to the National Institute of Accountants (NIA) as an Associate member in 2005.

As a senior accountant Maureen provides valuable support to MGH Advisory clients. She specialises in the areas of financial statement preparation for all entity types, Superannuation, GST, all Taxation compliance areas and is proficient in assisting clients with their Tax planning needs.

Away from work Maureen enjoys travelling, reading, gardening and handy crafts.
